Week 12

We spent the latter part of week 11 and beginning of week 12 in Vail at Kerrys moms house. (Thank you, thank you!) My sister Allison and Cousin Meghan were able to join; lucky me! There were a crew of 20 of us, plus one pup Keiko. Kerry and I boarded 2 out of the three days; a bit slower and less frequent than I am used to, but at least we were out there. The weather was spectacular, and those that were out on Sunday enjoyed some new snow from Saturday night. For those of you that are concerned; yes, I can still board, as long as I dont have too much of a belly. The concern is that when the belly sticks out your center of gravity changes making you more prone to falling. Not to mention more likely to fall on your belly rather than on an outstretched hand or your knees. I did plenty of falling (par for the course) but none too serious. I was not able to enjoy the hottub from outside but did get my feet wet a bit. We had a family dinner every night and otherwise spent time chatting, playing card games and relaxing. I have to say, for the amount of people that went, there were no issues or problems. Pup was very well behaved in all...ahem..manners of speaking as well. Thanks everyone for a great weekend and for pitching in with cooking and cleaning as well as the assistance on closing the house at the end of the weekend!

Week 12 finds me with a protrusion that is not exactly welcome as it is a bit premature, but nonetheless very present and resistant to buttons or other such closures. I have only gained about 7-8 lbs (though the recommended amount at this time is 2-4lbs....oops) so I guess for the first time in my life most of it went to belly. Maternity here I come; anyone have any recs other than Pea in a Pod, Macys, Target, Motherhood, and Old Navy? I am so far not finding much that I actually want to wear for the next 6 months...

We had an US on the 13th to check the baby out for any decipherable abnormalities. No, no sex yet (we are still convinced its a boy).

Our new option for a name is Kingston. We have liked it for about a week; the other two in the running are Byron and Wyatt. Sadly, no more Otis.

On to Week 11

Huh. Yeah. Well, nausea is gone. So is my waistline. Energy level is FINALLY coming back..not quite what it is supposed to be (I have not seen the gym in 6 weeks; I dont think I have been that far away from working out EVER) but at least I am able to sustain myself with one or two naps a day, not four. We have another OB appintment tomorrow, and an US next week, so only one more week until we are cleared to tell the world of this pregnancy.

Kerry and I got a gender test for my birthday, did it, and it showed up positive for a boy. Also, I have a bunch of rashes all over.. they say that means boy. Kerry and I put the kibash on all our aforementioned baby names, we are back at the drawing board. I could list all the boy names I know its not going to be :)
