Laura and Frankie Montenegro wedding #1

So here is a sneak peek at what their "real" wedding will look like. Laura and Frankie are officially getting married in September 2011 but had their civil ceremony March 19, 2011. They are one of few that will have two anniversary dates! Their wedding took place on a beautifully warm March day at Lauras sisters house. The night before the wedding all the girls gathered at 900 degrees for some margaritas to unofficially bachelorettize Laura…stay tuned for the actual event! Lauras close friends from Boston, NYC, Hampton and elsewhere were able to come to the March ceremony which was very small seeing that their real wedding is happening soon. Very proud to call Laura and Frankie our friends, and so happy for them!

And heres the baby of the family, Layla

Back to my old tricks

These are the table labels. I have completed 13 total, more to come depending on how many people can attend the wedding! these are all hand drawn, and the frames themselves are painted white then covered with silver for an "antique" look.

And some pics of my babies

Dallas Wedding May 2011

Kerry and I decided to take a little weekend trip to Dallas for a wedding between Kari and Troy. They are family friends of Kerry and Tyler, and Troy also works with Paul Mitchell. We all stayed at the W hotel in Dallas; pure luxury. Ker and I have both been working 50-60 hour weeks these days, so it was wonderful to use the rooftop hotel pool, spend time with breakfast in bed, and enjoy a spectacular weekend wedding event.

Friday night was the cocktail party at Kari's parents house. The house was a museum. What a site. The picture with Sarah and I reflect the tent set up in the back for the rehearsal dinner. Breathtaking.
After the cocktail party the four of us enjoyed dinner at Craft. Due to work date nights have been rare mammals these days; its really been precious to spend quality time together with my fiance.

Then came the wedding itself . It truly was wonderful. More pictures to come. Sunday, after the wedding, we went to a ranch to have a goodbye brunch, complete with a rodeo and a cowboy. Kerry and I got to pet the dogs, horses and kitties. That night Kerry and I enjoyed another night out to dinner at Nobu which coincidentally was the same restaurant we went to in the Bahamas to celebrate our engagement. I was actually pretty sad to leave Dallas. the people were so nice, the weather was so sunny, my rash went away in the sun…ahh, back to the real world...

Week 16, finally feeling more like myself.

Week 16

Week 14 marks the first week I am feeling more like myself. I have turned a page - I have started running again, the first time in 8 weeks. I am able to tone down the weight gain a bit, as I dont need to eat carbs every other minute. I am back into working on my wedding and baby stuff. It feels good to feel like myself :)

Making baby stuff for family

Dayna, Kers cousin on the Austin side, is having a baby boy in August 2011. Below are some pics of the baby stuff I made for her.

The next pics are of pieces I made for Kers mother Linda, as one of the Grandmothers of our new baby coming in October, as well as Grand-Aunt of Daynas baby!
