More wedding and baby projects gettin' done

This is the practice hat I made for Maeve for the wedding. It goes with one of the outfits I have purchased for her. Mabel so nicely modeled for me.

We also started on the wallpaper in Maeves room. Here are some before pics - the workers included me, Kerry, and Linda.

We are around half way done but we ran out of wallpaper. More pics when we are completely finished but here is a preview:

Of course the wallpaper only goes half way down the wall but thats because John Dittmer is again going to do some beautiful wainscoting in the babys room similar to the work he did in the living room and office. I cant wait for the finished product!!!

Dayna, Kerrys cousin, is about 2.5 months ahead of me in gestation. Linda and Lauren had a baby shower for her with surprise guests from FL - her mom Ginger and grandmother June!

Engagement party

Linda, Kerrys mom, coordinated an engagement toast for Kerry and I. It was held at her house with all close friends and family. Derek and my mom even got to attend since they were in town that weekend.

Hampton beach on a random Tuesday. Yes work has been nuts, I am exhausted, but these are the benefits to having 12 hour days. I get a tuesday off to spend at the ocean.

Mom and Derek visit June 2011

My mom and brother Derek visited in June this year. Derek has never been to NH so it was awesome to be able to show him our home, have him meet some of my friends and Kerrys family, and just hang out. We had planned to go to a play at the Palace theater, but funny enough it turned out to be a ballet….an AMATEUR ballet. hahaha, well, all was not lost, they hadnt seen Hairspray yet, so we watched that after (a much better show than the former!). Mom and I did a lot of work on various wedding crafts and finalized all the invitations.

We did a bit of the freedom trail for Dereks benefit who had not been to boston since he was young. We made it pretty far, and ended up at the state house and then all the way to the water. We went into the museum to see where the Declaration of Independence was read from and checked out Faneiul Hall .

Lunch at my favorite place on Newbury street, Stephanies. Its becoming a bit of a tradition for us to go there when my family is in town. It was a nice day out, after many days of rain so we even got to sit outside.

Lastly those two, plus Linda, Tyler and Lauren were all present for the babys ultrasound where we found out we are having a girl. I am so happy we all got to share that together. Then of course my mom, brother and I immediately went home and put together the crib, changing table and dresser. And then went to Babys R Us to actually make them functional. Now its time for baby to COME!!!
